Hosting and server log files
This website is operated by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data so that the page can be delivered and protected against attacks. This includes your IP address, date and time, the address you accessed and information about your browser and operating system.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and functioning operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which is the basis for this transfer (Art. 45 GDPR).
Fonts and images
Fonts, photos and thumbnails are delivered directly from this website. No data is sent to services such as Google Fonts or YouTube when you open a page.
Cookies
Our pages do not set any cookies for visitors. Only our internal content management system uses a technically necessary login cookie for people who edit content there (§ 25(2) TDDDG).
Contact form
If you write to us using the form, we process your name, your email address and your message in order to reply to you. To send it we use Brevo, a service of Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. From there your message arrives as an email in our mailbox with the provider STRATO.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for enquiries about participation or a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We delete your message once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. The same applies if you contact us directly by email or phone.
Newsletter
For our newsletter we only need your email address. We send it via Mailchimp, a service of The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. When you subscribe, your address goes directly to Mailchimp and you receive an email in which you confirm your subscription (double opt-in).
Mailchimp also stores technical data about the subscription, such as the time and IP address, so that we can prove the subscription. Mailchimp may also evaluate whether a newsletter was delivered and opened.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by emailing us. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. Mailchimp is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).
Event registration
For registration for events we use pretix, a service of pretix GmbH, Berthold-Mogel-Straße 1, 69126 Heidelberg, Germany. Registration takes place on a separate pretix page that we only link to. There you enter the details we need for your participation, for example your name and email address. The legal basis is the processing of your registration (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Donations
If you donate by bank transfer, we receive the details of your transfer via our bank. We use them to record the donation and, if requested, to issue a donation receipt. The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR. We keep the records for as long as required by German tax and commercial law.
The PayPal button leads to the PayPal website. PayPal’s privacy policy applies there; we only receive the details of your donation.
Links to other sites
Among other things, we link to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, OpenStreetMap, our shop and the project “Israel, We Stand With You”. This content is not embedded. Only when you follow a link do you reach the respective site, where its own privacy policy applies.
Recipients and processors
We only pass on your data to the service providers named here. They process it on our behalf and according to our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR). We do not sell data and do not pass it on for advertising purposes.
